- Examines some of the core debates over terrorism and counterterrorism.
- Topics include what constitutes terrorism, why people become terrorists, which targets they attack, whether nuclear terrorism is a serious threat, the extent to which terrorism helps the perpetrators, and their motives.
- From there, the course introduces the student to viable counterterrorism strategies.
- Permission of instructor required for students who do not meet prerequisite.
